Summer Meal
Afasic Young Person’s Day
Unit and Designation Review
And Finally
Firstly, I would like to thank Sarah for hosting the last coffee morning.
There will now be no coffee morning until September – we have a busy summer ahead of us with the Afasic 40th Birthday Party
Afasic’s 40th Birthday back to top
As you already know Afasic is 40 this year (on 4th July)!
Here in West Kent we are having a family party for Afasic 40th Birthday on Sunday 6th July 2008 at Mascalls Youth and Community Centre in Paddock Wood (next to Mascalls School)
The party starts at 2pm and finishes at 5pm with a magic show from 2.30 to 3.30. Other attractions include a bouncy castle and a birthday tea.
We would like to make this a big family party and everyone is invited – mums, dads, siblings etc and any professionals involved with Afasic are very welcome to join us with their families.
For safety reasons (and because it is a family party) children must not be left unattended and are the responsibility of their parents at all times.
If you would like to join us please RSVP to me (either phone or preferably email) letting me know how many adults and the ages of the children. Also a photographer may be present so if you or your children do not want to be photographed for Afasic publicity material please let me know on your RSVP and remind me on the day. You may want to bring your own folding garden chairs. Please RSVP before Monday 30th June.
The 'Official Invitation' can be read -

Instead of having a coffee morning in term 6 (ie 2nd half of the summer term for those of you who still haven’t got the hang of the 6 term year) we are going out for a meal. We are (again) going to Ask (pizza, pasta and salads) in Tonbridge this time at 8pm on Tuesday 22nd July 2008. Please email or phone me if you would like to come along.
Afasic Young Person’s Day back to top
20 young people attended the Afasic Young Person’s Day in May, again this year we had glorious weather and a good time was had by all. I would like to thank all the volunteers (Debbie, Kelly, Charlie, Alicia and Niamh) who helped make the day a success and Colin (again this year) for taking the photos. Photos from the day can be viewed –
