Brief Description of Special Needs catered for
SMILE supports Additional Educational Needs in the 38 Primary and Secondary schools in Gravesham. Smile is committed to its key role of supporting the inclusion process in Gravesham schools: to be a place where there can be a two-way flow of knowledge and expertise between special and mainstream schools.
SMILE provides a full range of courses to all schools in the West Kent and Medway areas.
SMILE supports pupils within mainstream schools, these pupils have a range of significant learning difficulties and social and communication disorders.
How Parents Obtain a Place / Access the Service
Referals for support within mainstream schools can be made through the LEA School Based Reviews and from the Educational Psycholgy Service
